OK,
So I always finish most of my woodworking projects with Pre-cat lacquer sprayed with HVLP. I love it. I always keep a gallon or 2 of lacquer thinner around for cleaning guns and such. Well here is my urgent problem; I am completing some woodworking gifts for my grown up kids and was planning spraying tomorrow. But I am out of lacquer thinner. I went to pick up a supply and found that suddenly since I live in California-I can only purchase low VOC. I have never used this watered down version and so I don't want to ruin my projects. Has anyone else had to switch from the real stuff to the the kiddie version thinner? If so I am all ears on how it works. I also noticed it is 6 bucks more per gallon. Don't you just love it?
thanks for your experience and or advice.
