We went over to St Louis to visit my brother and his wife. Of course he and I ended up going to St Charles hardwoods. I bought a few off cuts as we were in Goodoldwhatshername's car and didn't have room for eight foot boards or very many boards as far as that is concerned. A little maple a bit of walnut and then he gave me a whole cherry board that we cut in half to make it fit in the car. So when we got back home, I just had to build SOMETHING!

This is the result....

Currently have a curly cherry box under construction but, I hope it comes out better than the last one I built (ugly box contest)

Nice job Rodger, even if you are Rapid, I bet that took plenty of time.

Have a great day.

You know, you really do need to get a lathe and learn how hard that is to do. :-D

Am I reading this right? I thought RR had got a lathe, but from brother Bill's comment Im guessing this was all done with a scroll saw?

Mon Dieu, you are very good Roger!

Cheers,
eric

Eric,
No, I don't have a lathe and don't have room for one or really even want one.
I've been doing bowls and vases for several years on the scroll saw. It requires a lot of sanding and I have a spindle sander that helps a lot on the inside and spend a bunch of money on sandpaper.
Thanks for the nice comment.
