After several months of work, the addition for the Ryan Newbanks foundation is going to start drywall this weekend and (best news of all) we have a real drywall contractor lined up to do the work! That means I get a weekend to work on projects at home again. I think I had better sucumb to the pressure to finish the trim and the patching of drywall in the kitchen first. Then there's doors and other trim to be repainted ...

I'm starting some new shelves for the shows. I'm also working on a $200 pull out refuse container, it's too nice to call a trash can.

We have the AIDS Walk this weekend. Always a big event for us. So the wife is on her way down. Afterward, we have to finish the memorial shadow box we're making in honor of my MIL. I then have to order the glass and get it shipped next week. Then I've got to finish a pair of stationary boxes I'm still working on for my Mother and my FIL, and get them shipped by next week. Meanwhile, I still have a 700 word paper to write for school and get it turned in next week. It's shaping up to be a long weekend. Next weekend, we're off to D.C. to make some deliveries.

Working on the cradle. Gluing the sides and ends and cutting out the bottom.

Does installing painted pine crown molding count as woodworking? I'm still trying to finish up my son's "big boy" room before his little sister shows up. The carpet should be coming in a week. Then I have to buy a mattress . . . then we have to move him in.

I've got 4 weeks . . . hopefully.

Still working on the 'sitting bench' for my daughter-in-law. Most of my time is waiting on stain and finish to dry. The humidity these days (even with the shop AC on) is a real killer! Temps still in the 106-110 degree range too!
It is suppose to cool down and maybe even get some rain this weekend. We sure could use both the "cooler" and "rain" for a change!!

Tom and I are starting back up on the built-ins now that we're both home for a little while.

And, since the heat index is expected to be about 110 this weekend, we should be very comfortable... :D

Got to solve the table pedestal situation for the camper but otherwise that re-do is essentially done. I'll get some pix tomorrow and perhaps post some progress 'visual aids' of the overkill aspect of this table support detail.

Sunday is a music concert and wine tasting at Eagle Haven Vinyard so doubt there will be much done in the way of WW'ing.

Does tearing out the termite damage and rebuilding the front porch count as wood working????
Murphy has been at my house most of the week...

OK, I have to ask............watcha catch?

Fishing's been slow in the bay where I fish so I went crabbing Friday by myself. I had a real nice time, saw several eagles, and I love to eat them crabs!

I did call the guy who I bought the cherry from and want to arrange one last look at the pile of wood I dug through before.

On Monday, I took the two teenage boys from next door fishing. We didn't catch much then either, but it sure was fun. The best part was fishing below a dam while standing knee deep in the water. So refreshing on such a warm day
