Here are some jigs I've found to be extremely helpful. I know they can all be
improved on and I will do so as time permits. The shooting board works great but would work better if I had tilted the sled part.
The bench hook has been used countless times and I just put the clasp on it to make it even more useful.
The card scraper jig is a real treasure. Makes tuning the scraper simple quick and easy.
The other jig is for registering stock for pocket hole assembly for the particular project I'm working on now.

Great set of jigs. I really like the shooting board. I've seen lots of pics of them, but never one with a clamp on top. Great idea!

Nice jigs. The clamp on the bench hook must increase the usefulness.

Sweet jigs.

For some tasks, there's nothing as useful or essenial as a well-designed jig.

Thanks for looking, folks. Yes, Jess, the clamp does make the bench hook more effective. This particular clamp has an over sized arm on the hold-down because the one that comes with the clamp wouldn't reach thin stock. I intend to put a shorter one on there next time I go to Rockler.
The shooting board is the prize of the lot. I had to true the ends on face frames for the project I'm working on and this thing saved the day.
Next jig project will be a coping sled for the router table. Got some doors with raised panels on the agenda.

I hope you don't mind copying because I can see making a set of all three of those and I really like your ideas.

I keep thinking about how I'm going to put a taper on the sled for the shooting board (I'd like mine to run "downhill") and my mind keeps hitting a wall (perhaps on the jointer with the guard removed? Heck, my jointer joints create tapers half the time anyway!)

I am trying to picture how you use the post on the scraper holder... I understand the jig to hold the scraper at 90 degrees while you square it up, but do you just slide the scraper along the face of the jig against the post to create the burr? I'l love to see a pic of the positioning you use.

The family and I will be out your way to do the Sea World thing in a couple of weeks and if you have time I'd love to buy you a cup of joe and shoot the breeze.
Thanks again for sharing,
Lawrence

Thanks, Lawrence.
The post on the scraper jig is set at 15* so that when you lay the scraper on the block with the edge pushed against it and pull ... it will create the burr.
Give me a call when you plan to be in town, I'll PM my phone #, and we'll get together.
