anyone have their DW 734 or 733 manual handy? I need to know the size of the screw that holds the Dust collector chute onto the back of the planer.

It screws into the teeny little threaded holes on the sides:

They don't give sizes in the parts catalog, just part numbers, and I don't have a thread gage. You can check here for part numbers: http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/

Good luck.

Is there another one like it on the planer that you could take to the hardware store to get a match?

Dennis,
I just took the chute with me and found one that fit, At first I tried both a 6/32 and an 8/32, but wound up over on the metric side. they're hex head bolts, but they work fine. Or did, until I lunched the lunchbox yesterday.
