Rick,

Very cool! I hope the sun cooperates with a flurry of spots for you. I am interested in the level of detail you achieve. Maybe a few snapshots into the eyepiece?

Good luck. Been pretty quiet for nearly 2 weeks. http://www.solarcycle24.com/

Rick

Great job all the way around, both OTA and mount came out top notch.

I am really intriqued by the front of the OTA, that looks like a light shield but I know that's not what is for :D .
Is that the filter itself I can see at the front? Is it film or glass?

What size of primary? Looks like a 6"

Here's hoping you have some sunny days, and some activity as well.

Great work Rick. Looks good and stable and still light enough to get mobile.

Hey Rick,

The scope looks great. I was trying to find more information on it, and kind of ran into a dead end. The plans don't seem to be published on the web, at least not anywhere that Google lead me.

Can you post a link for the plans?

Thanks,
Tom

Actually there isn't really any specific plans.

I will put together some details and post tomorrow (church tonight)

No, just got the focal length correct today. Had to cut almost 2 inches off the tube to get focus. But now I am rocking!
