Ok guys, I just returned from a long trip to Enon Ohio for some Cherry and Cherry and Maple plywood. There has to be some closer suppliers in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. Any suggestions?

Thanks

SPLINTERED: Many folks here have had success with:
http://www.woodfinder.com/
Just enter your zip code and any other check offs they provide that are relevant and see what develops.

Splintered I usually get all my lumber from Wilhelm's lumber in St. Peters Indiana the are not to far off the second interstate 74 exit in indiana. I can get you a number later if you need it they don't have a website.

Another big + for Wilhelm Lumber.Great service,I think.1st purchase was
red oak for a blanket chest/hope chest.2nd purchase last fall was
quarter sawn white oak.Great wood. The QSWO sat in the garage all
winter and now that the weather is warmer it wants to become 2
Craftsman style end tables.I will try to use my meager skills to fulfill
its destiny.

Splintered:

Tiny Timbers in Borden, IN is bit farther from Cincinnati, but it's by far my favorite sawmill. All kiln dried, skip-planed to 15/16", unless otherwise specified.

I LOVE their website!!! http://www.tinytimbers.com/

Splintered,

Distributor Service International (DSI) off of Mosteller sells some species lumber and lots of board products (species ply). http://www.distributor-service.com/aboutus.html They don't care if you are a contractor or a walk-in consumer.

For a very nice selection of figured lumber, try Hardwood Lumber and More in Milford (Steve Mickley formerly of Paxton Lumber fame owns the place). http://www.hardwoodlumberandmore.com

I have heard that Hyde Park Lumber has good stuff too but have not checked them out. They are at the end of Red Bank just after the railroad tressle in Fairfax.

Where in the Cincy are are you located? I know pnut is over near Harrison. I am on the other side near Milford.
