hey everyone ,

well i was having a productive day in the shop, but i just found out the switch on my table saw is going bad ....... i had to wiggle it to get it to power up on what turned out to be my last cut for the day . i won't use it again until i get it fixed . i am not much when it comes to electrical stuff , i know enough to get myself zapped really good

is there a smaller switch thingy i can replace in the box or do i have to order a whole new swiitch box and cord set from delta ?

oh yeah BTW its a delta contractor saw , any help would be great...... TIA

I would suggest to first take the cover off the switch and clean (blow it out) check wiring connections and see if that fixes it.

As far as what you have to change on a delta, I have no idea, without seeing it.

Personally, I'd replace the whole saw with a "Grizz" !!!

Good luck with sorting out the problem....

Grizz:

I replaced the switch on my Jet TS with one of those switches with the red STOP paddles--very easily done. I know Chance replaced the switch on his Delta TS with a different switch with a paddle, and again easily done.

I always use the "stare and compare" method--look at it, stare at it, take a picture if need be, draw a picture if you want....and then change it out and compare the end results with the first. If your cell phone takes pictures, it's an easy and quick way to take before and after pics.

As the others have said PLEASE UNPLUG IT FIRST
