I'm going to the tool show in Chantilly today, then I'm working on a shelf for Liz's daughter, 2 jelly cabinets, 2 quilt racks and the big dresser.

Hey Larry,

I making one last set of shaker style nesting trays, before I put away the steam box for awhile. I'm also working on a frame and panel bookcase that was featured in a FWW article a couple of years ago.

Starting to apply finish to the top and shelf of a coffee table. The frame is completed and glued-up. In the home stretch...

I'm finally finding some free time to work on an end table for my parents. The wife is taking my son to visit family and leaving me home alone for the weekend. It's pretty hard to find time for woodworking with a 2 year old (and a pregnant wife). :D

More face frames...

Five more upper cabinets to go... I safely recovered from making one of them 1/2" too wide so I am feeling pretty good about my progress.

Still working on the chest, the garden, and the yard/jungle. Always something to prevent me from fulfilling my couch potato ambitions.

I've just started a 5-day weekend where I plan to do lots of "shop funtime" I hope to make a high-angle plane body to go with a hock blade and will be tunining up more of the planes I got in my recent purchase. I also plan on doing some more veneer glue-ups (almost halfway done now)

Well, the show was a "Bust", I only spent about $150, and $66 of that was with Lee Valley. I also bought a set of the new Kreg setup bars, I've already used the 3/8in. one and, Boy, is it slick! Also, a router bit and 2 Bessey small clamps.

The show is in dire straights. There were guys selling windows, another one was selling something health related (I can't remember exactly what). I could have used the $8 admission and $20 gas money and ordered something on line. But, knowing me, I'll go back next January to the Baltimore show.

Trying to stay out of trouble for the next week and a half....I had minor surgery on my right index finger, and it sure is hard to type with a bandage 3 times the normal size of my finger.....it seems like I'm typing any key to either side of the one I really want to type

I can think of 50 things I want to do, but I promised the surgeon: #1--I wouldn't get the bandages wet, #2--I wouldn't take this bandage off until Tuesday (watch out 12:01 am  ), #3--I wouldn't tear out the stitches, and #4--I would start to bend the finger when I change the bandage (hopefully the air around me won't be too blue  ). I'm trying so hard to be good

Woodworking after the 21st when the stitches come out :D

Sunday afternoon...

I went to the pub, had a few drinks and a very nice meal. Slept in the car while Sue drove me home.

Now just checking things out while Sue makes a pot of tea on a sunny afternoon here in London Town 8)

to find the floor of my shop. I'm waiting for a piece for a cutting board that split which I glued up to dry. Later on I'll go out and glue up the whole board.

No woodworking for me. This weekend was all about yard-work. Rented a power dethatcher and went to town on the backyard. Ended up with a few bales of hay. I may have been a bit too aggressive. I'll know in a few weeks. Also fixed some sprinkler heads and spent a hours chopping down/digging out a large yucca plant.

My weekend was split between finishing my taxes, and Driving Miss Daisy. No fun at all

Have been working on a built in entertainment center for the house (about 170" long). But last weekend and next, I won't be in the garage, AZ Bike Week is here and can't pass it up. But after that back in the garage.

My day off (Monday) I drilled, glued inserts, and turned 22 pens of many different woods.
Pressed them all together today.

6 days a week is getting old, but I still am working.
