It's Friday afternoon and I know this Sunday is Easter, but you still have Saturday. So what are you working on this weekend?

I hope to get the tattoo box I'm building for a guy at church finshed or close to it.

Replacing a dishwasher that went south this week. I truly hate and despise plumbing projects. Every single one.

Well, tonight I am turning a bowl or two, sharpening the kitchen knives for us and some neighbors, and working on a carvewright project with the boys for their school. Tomorrow, we are going to go to the park for a while and I hope to get some more time in the shop for tinkering (and if it is warm enough, another veneer glue up-- lately has been a wee bit too cool for the urea-resin glue to set properly at night.

Sunday morning we are going to go to the Sonoran desert museum-- it's one of our favorite places and we go often. (part zoo, part museum... tons of fun) and I hope to begin working on next year's christmas presents- this year the boys want to help so we're starting early.

ps- I REALLY hate plumbing too!

TV Stand for our flat screen.

It will be awhile before it is finished. The top is just sitting on the base.
It is walnut and mesquite.

The feet have taken awhile to make.

Still working on a coffee table. Just completed the finish on the frame so I will probably glue it up this weekend. Also have to finish cutting the top and begin the finish on it. Should have it done in a week or so. I hope...

Working on the 5ft dresser that matches the end tables. Also 2 hanging quilt racks. Then Easter Sunday, we go to my sister's for our annual Easter dinner. I sure hope Mother makes stuffed ham!

Make room, visit the dump, reorganize and regroup, clean, dust, vacume. Then try to get back to the real projects at hand.

Thanks,

James.

Hey Guys,

I just bought some of the wood for a bookcase project that I've been putting off for quite awhile. I've been procrastinating because I know that I have another god daughter graduating soon, and I didn't have a plan yet.

Kris came to my rescue by telling me it was time to go visit Hal Taylor and learn from the rocking chair maestro. So I'm booked for next year around this time. Now that, that obligation is covered, I'm free to start something else. Thus, the bookcase. I do think that I'm going to make one more set of nesting bentwood Shaker style trays though, before I put away the steam box.

Now that ski season is winding down, I finally have my weekends again. Unfortunately, no woodworking this weekend. I'm taking advantage of the nice weather for spring clean-up in the yard, and of course there SWMBO's never ending list of gardening projects.

Well, I cut the plywood for the sides of the dresser, and then I looked at the draw glides and found out I ordered the wrong ones.

The dresser's going to be interesting, because I have to build it in 2 pieces so I can get it up the stairs in the customer's house.

I did get the grass cut yesterday. And I've been enjoying our grand dog who will be going home today.
