What are you working on this weekend?

We've been working all week to clear out the house to make room for the hardwood refinishers to come in and put a new finish on the floors and stairs. Hardwood sure is beautiful but man, what a pain to get ready to have it refinished! Time for us to take a little break!

No woodwork for us this weekend, Off to a Meccano meeting on Saturday (Local club meeting) and to the London Festival of Model Railways on Sunday, see my signature. I'll have to go back to work (woodworking) on Monday - hard life!

Friday evening all the work is done it is time to sit down with Sue and have a nice meal and glass of something red... or maybe white 8)

I did the Puzzler earlier today to give the other time zones a crack at it so if you have not visited it go and tell us what you know about a donkey's ear

Ralph

I will be heading over to Staceys grandparents to build a ramp for her grandfather so his new electric scooter is not confined to the house. He would really like a wider door that the john deere gator would fit in, he says the little electric scooter is really lacking on power. :D

Planting veggies this weekend, tuning up the mower, grading the driveway and cutting back the jungle. Stuff is starting to grow and the next few weeks will be busy on the land. Hope to get some time to work on the chest.

Finally cutting and hanging the pegboard and luan plywood on the last two walls of my shop.

Supposed to rain here Sunday so I'll try to slap some paint on the walls then.

If I have time, I'll befinishing the drawers for my recycled kitchen cabinet soon to be shop cabinet and hanging an upper cabinet for handheld power tools....

Played 9 holes of golf this morning, poorly, very poorly.....

I've never understood that game. Why would a grown man pay big money to smack a little ball with club, just to chase it around and make it fall in a hole in the ground?

I'm with ya, Gene. I've played golf twice in my life. The mental therapy afterwards was difficult for my insurance to justify.

But I've actually been engaged changing wood from one shape to another. Although a bit vicariously. Today we had our turning club's Sawdust Saturday session on turning natural edge hollow forms. I'm the chairman or coordinator/whatever of this program so I get the benefit of every technique topic covered. We have some gifted and recognized turners in the club so it's always a profitable day spent.

Back up in WY, just got back home at about 5 a.m. grabbed a shower and headed into work. 8) The shades are so the boss won't catch me snoozing. :D

Anyway, about the only wwing I did this weekend was to finially finish the trim molding in our bathroom remodel. Sorry no pic, but I left the chip in the camera at home. I should be awake tomorrow some time.
