First, let me give thanks to the Vapors for a catchy song.

Next, let me thank all who helped in the collaborative pre-gloat!

Well, it was time to spend that nice gift card I got for my BD.

So, I'm not sure how the math worked here. I walked into Woodcraft with a $150 gift card, 10% discount card & added $11.

For that, I walked out with the following.
- 4 piece Japanese chisel set (6mm, 12mm, 21mm & 24mm)
- Arts & Crafts Furniture projects book
- Crown burnishing rod (I'm sure my Veritas will turn up the day after I can't return this one)
- Wixey digital angle gauge

If you look at the prices on Woodcraft's web site, the math doesn't work . . . . but what the heck! :D

Terrific score Craig! I've heard great things about those chisles and the Wixey is one of the most used pieces of equipment in my shop.

Big YOU SUCK from here. :D

I back-lapped one of the chisels last night and did a little cutting.

OH MY GOODNESS!! It has never been so easy to back-lap a chisel. It took about 5 minutes while I was talking on the phone!!

Thanks to Verna, Lawrence, Tom (tms), Tom (TT) & that little wacky monkey running around Tampa Bay for your recommendation.

It got me so excited, I decided to go back for more . . ... however, .. ..

It seems something magical happened in the cash register yesterday that let me buy a $144 chisel set for $72. Whatever that magic was, it wasn't happening today. :(

Very thankful for what I have. Even put them to use today!

Once you go Japanese on your chisels... you just don't go back... :-)

It works on many levels.
