I've been promising the kids we'd make this for a week or two now-- yesterday afternoon we had fun making then using the ramp
Very simple, 4 pieces of 2x4 cut to a "ramp" curve on a bandsaw and then faired to the line on the oscellating sander. The boys helped with everything but the cutting and 2x4 prep. 1/4 ply was then glued and screwed to the braces- I cut a cherry threshold thin wedge on the bandsaw and attached it with gorilla tape. This allows it to flex so it can be taped securely to the ground and now even if the ramp moves the threshold is always secure and flat to the ground.
the plants are covered becuae there is a rock dove that insists on nesting-- LOML and I are trying to discourage her from doing so in our hanging baskets this year
I think they'll be busy this weekend, LOML is a terrible example by not wearing shoes... kids don't try this at home
