This is a media transfer cabinet I just finished. I use it to transfer older format videos to DVD.
It’s made of canary wood and red oak plywood. I made to bottom oversized to house the power strip and battery bricks for the two digital 8 camcorders. It has a drop down door for easy access. I still might add some doors to the upper half. Because of the location, I couldn’t make it deep enough to house the three decks. I still have to make a bottom unit to house misc. hardware and the DVD Duplicator. I can’t decide weather to build some drawers or a swing door cabinet.
I will use canary wood for the top though to match the face frames.

I like how the power strip is hidden in the bottom! Nice work.

I need to build one somewhat like that to store a charging station for my cordless tools and cell phone in the shop. I doubt that I will use canary wood tho. :D

Yes, the drop-down bottom is the icing on the entire project, Vidkid. I like the straight grain of the canary wood--I have to admit to never having worked with it before.

Great project to organize the equipment--good job in the execution. Thanks for the pics.

Beautiful craftsmanship and I love the design. Great layout and cable management.

Lawrence, I would be pretty selfish if I was offended by someone using a design feature I pulled out of my ...

You know what they say. Necessity is the mother of invention.
Even after finishing it I realized a few things that would have made it more functional.
