DARN !!!!

I would often email John because he used to live here in So. Cal, and he would always reply.

The Woodshop Demos was a great site, he sure did a lot to help other woodworkers.

I will miss that guy a lot !!

When I saw the title of this post, I didn't even want to open it. This is a sad day for all of us who admired John's work and his choice in shopmates. Rest in piece John, you were a real gentleman. You will be missed.

I am in shock .Johm always emailed me now and again but he will be very sorely missed.

He was the guy who really knew the ropes come rain or shine he was there to give advice and such.

Thanks Gail for letting us know.

RIP John and I know the angels have welcome you with open arms.

John's site was one of the first online references I found or so many years ago when I first began this hobby in earnest.

His prompt, friendly email replies to the most inane questions made him a great resource. How he managed to answer what surely must have been an enormous volume of mail in such short response time and gentle demeanor is beyond me.

I would never have mastered the use of the lock-miter router bit without his (and his lovely assistants) tutelage.

Here's to you, John.

God Bless.

I am sorry to hear of John's passing. I have just recently been able to get back in my shop and was thinking of some of our exchanges while I was working.

John, if you are reading this from above the 1/2" shelves worked great and you were the only one that agreed with me.

Very, very sad news. I had tons of respect for John, even though I'd never met him. You could just tell that he'd be a super friend or neighbor. I've literally spent hundreds of hours learning from his website.

I hope his family and close friends can find peace and comfort in this sad time.

John
