I don't know exactly what the profit margin is, but Mango is right about your question. It isn't what we would pay, it is what we would charge.
I feel that if you were selling the chair already, then you have the price well set. If you are not selling any now, or are selling less, try a promotional deal, i.e. Buy one for $185, get 2 for $350 and so on.
If you could work out a deal with the manufacturer to charge less as the volume increases.
I guess first it would be nice to know how you are selling them. By website only? Do you take the order and then call the builder to make them?
If that is the case try to get a volume discount, or maybe you do already. But if you take orders, gave a 4 to 6 week lead time to arrive to the customer, collect orders for say 3 weeks to get as many as you can at one time, then you can have the builder make a large number of them all at once. Maybe saving money in production costs.
